Kennel for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier

We suggest our large dog kennel for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier originates from Britain where it was bred to be a fast fighting dog. When dog fighting was banned the breed was developed to become loyal companions.

Staffies can live up to 14 years, weight up to 38lbs and reach at height of 16 inches (at the shoulder).

Despite their muscular stature and strong features the Staffordshire Bull Terrier does make a great family pet. They are loyal and devoted to their owners and love being part of the family. They are nicknamed the ‘nanny’ dog due to their love of children. As with all breeds, caution must be taken to ensure that the dog is not left alone with young children. Having a great love of fetching and chasing they will provide hours of entertainment to the family. Thus, they need lots of dog toys. They are very protective of their owners and make great guard dogs therefore they are very suited to someone living on their own.

Early socialisation with other family pets and other dogs is an absolute must as the Staffie is not afraid of fight. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is highly intelligent however they are stubborn so consistent and firm training is required from the outset.

They require lots of regular exercise, probably more than most breeds, to keep up their physical condition but most importantly to keep them stimulated mentally.  By Irish law all Bull Terriers have to be walked on a strong leash and muzzled when in a public place.

Their short smooth coat needs very little grooming except for a regular brushing to remove dead hairs and to make the coat shine. Staffies love water and will enjoy being bathed.

When choosing a kennel for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier it is important that your dog will have enough room to move around comfortably inside.  We suggest our large dog kennel for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
